A Boy Scout promises to help other people and we help too.

Every year Scouts all over the nation take part in a National Good Turn called Scouting for Food. If you live in our area, you'll see us out one weekend hanging specially marked plastic bags on everyone's front door. We ask that you fill these bags with non-perishable food items. We'll be back the next weekend to collect the bags. All food collected is donated to local food banks.

Our 2010 Scouting for Food Drive will take place on the following dates:

January 30th, 2010 - Bag Distribution
February 6, 2010 - Bag Collection

We will be distributing and collecting bags in areas around the Benjamin's Run neighborhood, off Pedrick Road. See the map below.

Scouts should meet that the entrance to Benjamin's Run (Pedrick Rd. & Split Rail) at 9am on Saturday, January 30th, for bag distribution. The more scouts that we get, the wider an area we can cover, and the more food we will collect.

For pickup, Scouts should meet at the same location on Saturday, February 6th at 9am. We will be working with Troop 117 to collect the food bags.

The success of our Scouting for Food depends on your generosity. Please contribute as much as you can to this most worthy cause.
