Popcorn Drive Rules and Hints
What on Earth is a ...... ?
- Show and Sale? -- This is what you sell when you are working in front of a store like Wal-Mart.
- Show and Deliver? -- These are the sales you make and deliver immediately (or before you turn in your paperwork) from popcorn checked out from the pack.
- Take Order? -- These are the sales you make but cannot deliver from popcorn checked out from the pack. All chocolate popcorn sales will be Take Order as well as any sales for which the pack runs out of product before the end of the selling season.
- Each boy must turn in his own set of paperwork. Sales that are recorded as a family (i.e., paperwork turned in for the family as a whole) will be counted towards the oldest boy's sales.
- Remember.... don't go at night, don't go alone, have a pen, have your order form, be in your full Class A uniform, smile, say thank you whether the customer orders or not
- Final paperwork must be turned in by October 22, 2007. Please make sure you turn in paperwork by that time - the popcorn committee has deadlines to meet that will cost the pack profit if we are late.
- Please enter the orders that you were able to take and fill using the "Show and Deliver with Scout orderforms" link within the pocporn system. Please enter orders that you took but were unable to deliver (remember to get the money to turn in up front with everything else on the 23d) using the "Take Order" link within the popcorn system. By the 20th of October you will find that an extra order has been credited to your account if you participated in the Show & Sale at Walmart or the Neighborhood Blitz Sale. Once these orders have been credited, you can enter your prize choice for the level earned.
- Enter your prize choice for the level earned in the popcorn system and on the Pack Popcorn Paperwork Cover Sheet. If you do not select a prize from the appropriate level, a appropriate-level prize will be selected for you.
- Show & Sale Shifts
- Shifts are two hours each
- Boys will receive one shift credit for each two hour shift they work
- Make sure you sign in with the Leader in Charge when you arrive and that you sign out with the Leader in Charge when you leave
- You will be informed of the dollar value per shift credit at a later pack meeting. This will give us time to combine sales at all locations and divide by the total number of shifts work
- Each week's Top Selling Boy will receive a $5 Blockbuster Gift Certificate (Boys are only eligible for this prize if they use the online popcorn system)
- Each boy that meets their goal of selling
$400 in product as reported to council gets to throw
a pie at the leader of their choice!!!
