Our annual pack trip is right around the corner! This page is your one stop shop for all information regarding this trip. Where to go, what to do, what to bring, who to talk to.

The program we will be participating in is called the Zoofari Sleepover (http://www.jacksonvillezoo.org/education/after_dark_programs/). Since the maximum capacity of the program is 40 people, we have reserved two nights - March 27, 2010 and April 3, 2010. You only need to sign up for one of the nights.

Read about the After Dark program $40 per person. http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/6WBQHSK February 22d to Lisa Norman at the Pack Meeting. We will be sleeping on tile floors. Please bring a change of clothes, toiletries, sleeping bag, pillow and a towel in a bag that you can easily carry. Air mattresses are also recommended. Please be able to carry everything that you bring. There are no shower facilities. Please do not bring knives or other sharp objects, cd/dvd players, etc. No alcoholic beverages. Also, they request that we not bring food. Boys should be in Field Uniform (Class A blue/khaki uniform) for the Saturday night program. Parents, we encourage Pack shirts as well. A pizza dinner will be provided Saturday evening. There will also be a snack provided Saturday night before lights out. Breakfast will be served to us on Sunday morning. It is listed as an all you can eat Continnental breakfast. We will caravan to the Jacksonville Zoo but not back.

The caravan is optional but if you need directions please use a mapping source like MapQuest or Google Maps or GPS system. We are unfamiliar with Jacksonville and do not have the knowledge of the city to help with verbal directions on the day of the event.

You will need to wear comfortable clothes appropriate for weather and activities. This includes being prepared for rain ponchos or raincoats. No umbrellas, please.

For your safety, SHOES MUST BE COMFORTABLE FOR WALKING AND MUST ENTIRELY COVER YOUR FEET. Examples of shoes that are NOT PERMITTED: SANDALS, CROCS, & HEELIES. Participants not wearing the prescribed footwear will limit the areas toured for the rest of the group NO EXCEPTIONS!

No alcoholic beverages allowed.

Tours go on, rain or shine! Please bring rain gear when appropriate (No umbrellas)

Cameras, water bottles and insect repellent are welcome, but radios, whistles, tape players and other noisemakers are not.

During the zoo tour, no guest will be allowed to use flashlights, for the safety of the animals.

Your Zoofari Sleepover leaders and guides want to make the evening a special event for your group. Please talk with them during the evening with any special requests or concerns.

All guests must stay together as a group.

Children and youth must be under adult supervision at all times.

Minimum age is 6 years old. (There are alternate experiences for little ones especially the Moonlight Strollers program but the Pack will not be participating in this program.)

Trip leaders will gather emergency contact info for all trip participants.

The Zoo opens to the public at 9:00 AM for those entering the next day (additional cost).
