The Pumkins Are Coming!
Well, The first pumpkin delivery did not go so well. But, there is a second opportunity to help Tallahassee Heights United Methodist church unload Pumpkins. On Thursday, October 9th at 5:00pm the second and final Pumpkin delivery for the year will arrive. This is one of the Pack's service projects that benefits our charter organization. I know it sounds like a lot of work but it is really a lot of fun and the church uses to proceeds to fund several outreach programs in the community. Please come out on October 9th and help the Pack give back to our Charter Organization. Thanks, Bear Den Leaders Labels: Bear Den, Pumkins
Bear Badge Requirements
Scouts are required to complete 12 of the 24 achievements in order to earn their Bear Badge. As a den we will complete Achievements 1, 3, 4, 6, 16, 19, 21, 22, and 23. Scouts also need to complete any 4 of your choosing from achievements 8-13 with their Akela at home. Please try to have the Family achievements completed when Meetings resume after the Holidays. These achievements will satisfy the requirements for the Bear rank. The other achievements can be completed and count toward arrow point requirements as well as the electives in the Cub Scout Bear Handbook. Please make sure that a Den Leader and the scout's Akela signs off on all work completed at home. Thanks, Bear Den Leaders Labels: Bear Den

Hello Parents: Here is my Sunday afternoon email.
First off, tomorrow have your Scout wear old clothes. WE WILL BE PAINTING!!!!!!!!!
Secondly, I will be returning the bird house and animal posters.
Next, here is a list of activities I need some help with. We will be dividing the den into three groups. Group 1 with me: Barbara going over Seminole Indians Group 2: with Elizabeth: Tamara paining and putting the roof on the Seminole Indian House. (Outside I will bring lanterns but please bring bug spray.) Group 3: Bill and Julie: Seminole Games (I will have all the materials.) Bill can you bring two lanterns? Rita: We have two Scouts that need to be tested for Bobcat, can you take those two Scouts with their parents and study, then test them?
Also please bring an extra tee-shirt (preferably white and a size larger than your Scout normally wears ) and a solid color bandanna. If you haven't had time to get them don't worry. You can work on this at home.
Thanks, MD
