As you can see, the Pack 112 site has undergone a facelift. All the content has been reformatted to fit this template, and I'm pretty happy with the way things have turned out.
There are two major changes to the site. One you will notice immediately, and one I hope you never will.
First, I've replaced the calendar application with Google Calendar. This allows multiple 'authors' of events, an excellent admin interface, standards (iCal) compliance, and most importantly -
calendar sharing!
This means that any Google user (Gmail, Google Calendar, etc.) can subscribe to the Pack 112 Calendar and see those events on their personal calendar.
Calendar entries also support comments, so folks can talk about the event right there on the event calendar page.
Go play around with the calendar, I hope that you like it.
The second change is that the front 'news' page (that you are reading) is now powered by Blogger. Instead of the webmaster having to log into the web server and edit files directly, we can now post news and events through Blogger and have them automatically published to the tallyscouts.com site. In fact, I've done that for the news page, and for each Den, so that we can more easily post den events and happenings.
If you have any suggestions or complaints, feel free to drop me a line.
Thanks,
David
